Students will have the opportunity to meet the Executive Board, learn about available Executive Board positions, hear about events and initiatives planned for the academic year, and discuss ways to become involved with the organization. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for students to connect with fellow members of the law school community who are interested in federal law, practice, and professional development. DESCRIPTION:The Federal Bar Association (FBA), Criminal Law Association (CLA), and Immigration Law Association (ILA) invite students to Careers in Federal Practice, a panel discussion featuring attorneys and professionals from across the federal legal community.\n\nThe panel will bring together practitioners from the Federal Public Defender’s Office, federal criminal defense practice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and other federal agencies to provide students with an inside look at the wide range of career opportunities available in federal practice.
